The Raven Inn in Llanarmon-yn-Ial re-opened over the August 2009 Bank Holiday weekend, with a Grand Opening Bash on Saturday 29th August. 

After 3 months of closure the local community decided to take over the Raven Inn and to run it as a co-operative of volunteers. A television company documented the process for a television program on British life. They were present at The Raven filming the re-opening.

They have also recorded the preparations that lead up to the re-opening when a small army of volunteers gave the entire building inside and out a major spring clean and re-decoration. Flowers were planted, seats were re-upholstered and walls and doors were painted.

All the hard work has turned it back into what it should always have been - a spruce and welcoming country inn.

Please come along and visit us, and tell us what we're doing right, what we're doing wrong and what we haven't yet thought of. We've gotten off to a flying start, but we need to have feedback to make sure we continue to steer The Raven in the right direction.
